Mitochondria are the only organelle in a cell which is surrounded by a double layered membrane. Also chloroplast in plants are surrounded by double layered membrane.

The nucleus is surrounded by a double membrane. The outer membrane is continuous with the endoplasmic reticulum, and the inner membrane protects the genetic material inside the nucleus.
