We often see snakes generally cited as being able to strike in about 1/10th of a second or a bit less. There doesn't seem to be a broad data base of strike speeds for snakes. Give the constrictors the 1/10th second strike speed and call it good. It takes you a couple of tenths of a second to blink your eye, if that comparison helps. There are video clips on the web that show snakes striking, and it would be relatively easy to find them.
