What is the anatomical position of the gallbladder?

The kidneys lie agaist the dorsal body wall in a retroperitonial position (beneath the parietal peritoneum) in the superior lumbar region. They extend from T12 to L3 vertebra....and the rigth kindey is slightly lower the left because of the liver.

The gallbladder is located on the inferior surface of the liver, in the right upper quadrant of the abdomen. It sits just beneath the liver and is connected to the common bile duct.
