The diameter of the tree is not big; usually is 3cm for the average tree. Sometimes its diameter can be found up to 15 cm for the old tree. The wood of swamp cinnamon is reddish and has slight smell similar to Ceylon cinnamon. The wood is hard and is used as firewood by the locals. The wood of swamp cinnamon is chopped and dried for making tee by the locals. The fruit of swamp cinnamon is heart shape and is sour. The locals eat the fruits of swamp cinnamon with salt and chili.
