Mineral prospecting and mining: where are the shiny and valuable minerals that society runs on, and how do we get to them as cheaply as possible, this can include mine safely assessment to prevent lawsuits.

Oil exploration: it gives the blood modern society runs on to the world, despite how unpopular it is right now. It also gives a 6 figure starting salary right out of grad school!

Teaching: college level mostly.

There are a few odd jobs that fall under other categories, but they can be summed up as- any job that involves working with or consulting someone who is working with the earth.
