Mountains and hills are both landforms that rise above the surrounding terrain, but mountains are typically taller and steeper than hills. They are both formed through natural geological processes such as tectonic activity or volcanic eruption. Both mountains and hills can offer picturesque views and recreational opportunities for activities like hiking and skiing.
