The difference between a mixture and a solution is that a mixture is two or more substances mixed together but not necessarily completely dissolved into one another. While a solution is when something is completely dissolved into a liquid

A mixture is a combination of two or more substances that are physically combined but not chemically bonded. A solution is a type of mixture where one substance (solute) is dissolved in another substance (solvent). Therefore, all solutions are mixtures, but not all mixtures are solutions.

Mixtures are like a salad because you can see all the different parts, and solutions are like a smoothie where you can't see the different parts but you know what is in it. Their relationship would be that you could have the same ingredients, it just depends on how you put them together.
