They basically breath the poison that we breathe out and put into the atmosphere via motor cars and power stations etc and as a bonus they pay us back by breathing out oxygen for us to then breathe in and so the cycle continues...problem is there's too many humans now and too many cars etc and we ate or burned a lot of the plants so the plants that are left cannot keep up hence global warming is kicking in big time now. I believe if we all grow more plants then our children might be able to live but it could all be too little too late for us humans now
Plants in the forest are a very important factor in the carbon cycle. These plants function as the filter that takes in carbon dioxide and creates oxygen with it.

Plants need them in the Calvin cycle
While carbon cycle is maintained mainly by plants and animals, nitrogen cycle is maintained mainly by nitrifying bacteria and plants.
Plants play a major role in both the carbon cycle and the water cycle. Through photosynthesis, plants absorb carbon dioxide and release oxygen, contributing to the carbon cycle. At the same time, plants also take up water from the soil and release it back into the atmosphere through transpiration, participating in the water cycle.
plants are the sinks of carbon dioxide and releases oxygen it is cycle process
We need the carbon cycle because it helps plants grow and plants give us oxygen.

Plants take carbon dioxide (CO2) from the atmosphere and turn it into Oxygen (O).
carbon cycle
The carbon cycle and nitrogen cycle are related due to both plants and mammals using them. Plants take both carbon and nitrogen in and convert them to sugars and proteins that humans eat when eating the plants.
