Besides BYU in Provo, UT there are:
BYU-Idaho (formally Ricks College) in Rexburg, ID; BYU-Hawaii in Laie, Hawaii; and the LDS Business College in Salt Lake City, UT.
While these universities are owned by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (commonly called the "Mormon" Church) you do not have to be a member of the church to be a student there.
There are also colleges and universities owned and run by Mormons that have the same standards, but aren't owned by the church, such as Southern Virginia University.
The Church also operates an Institute of Religion near most Univeristies. These Institutes are also open to all students, regardless of religion. They provide worship services, free religion classes, and social activities.
Some other Mormon colleges include Brigham Young University–Idaho, Brigham Young University–Hawaii, and Ensign College (formerly LDS Business College). These institutions are affiliated with The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and adhere to Mormon teachings and values.
The Mormon Trail was a route taken by members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the 1840s and 1850s to escape persecution and seek religious freedom in the Western United States. It was different from other trails like the Oregon Trail because it was primarily used by a single religious group with a specific destination in mind, and the Mormons faced unique challenges such as hostility from other settlers and limited resources along the way.
The Sun is bigger than some stars and smaller than others. It is brighter than some stars and dimmer than others. Relative to the Earth it is much closer than all other stars.
About a quarter of all stars are bigger than the sun, some of them a lot bigger.
because some atoms are bigger than others
Isotopes contain a different number of neutrons.
cal poly is very high selective than some other colleges.
UMiami, Boston College, Wesleyan..
That is impossible and doesn't make sense. An apple can't be more like an orange than oranges are. A doctor can't be more like a fisherman than a fisherman is. Likewise, a non-Mormon can't be more like a Mormon than a Mormon is. Another answer: I am wondering if what you meant is "Why do people in other religions follow more of the Mormon principles than Mormons themselves?" or something similar? If so, everyone is human and you will find those who follow any religion closely and strictly, and those who do not follow it as closely as they should or do not understand all the principles.
Other than Rohmney they all claim to be Christian (he is Mormon)
Yes there are official US military colleges other than West Point. In example there is the United States Air Force Academy.
Mining towns were different than Mormon towns mostly because mining towns were focused on getting rich and mining, and Mormon towns were focused on religion rather than money. Mining towns were more 'rough and tumble' or 'wild west' than Mormon towns, which were more peaceful and civilized and had a lot more women and children. However, in the west, some Mormon towns were also mining towns. Nevertheless, most Mormon towns were farming, ranching, or industrial communities.
There are 2 division 1 colleges other than lsu use a two quarterback system the two teams are Alabama and Arkansas
Most members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (the "Mormon" church) are fine with being called "Mormon", however some are offended by the term and prefer to be called "LDS" or "Latter-day Saint" because the full name of their church is "The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints". Other than that, call them by their names!
Almost all colleges accept FASFAs. An FASFA is a form of student loan help and almost all colleges accept this, so therefore an FASFA college is not better than an ordinary college. They are the same.
Mormon funerals tend to be fairly happy occassions, where the deceased is remembered by those who loved him or her. Members of the deceased's church community give talks and provide music for the program. Other than that, a Mormon funeral is not notably different from funerals associated with any other Christian denomination.
An internet search shows that the term is often used by non-Mormons when referring to someone who acts as a faithful Mormon around other Church members and Church leaders, but secretly lives differently when not around them. Within the Church, we usually use the term "Jack-Mormon" rather than "Mormon Mask".
Some do and some don't. There are over 15 million members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (commonly called the 'Mormon" church), all with different personalities. Some are more likely to be judgmental than others. Mormons are taught that they should not judge, and to be tolerant, patient, and loving with all people, however some find it difficult to do so.
