∙ 8y agoAs with any scientific model it can not be stated to be absolutely without error.
However it is confirmed to extremely high numerical precision in all tests that have been performed to the present time. It would take experiments detecting very very tiny but both consistent and statistically significant discrepancies to change it.

∙ 8y agoThe quantum mechanical model is the name of the atomic model in which electrons are treated as waves.
The quantum mechanical model is called the quantum theory.
The quantum mechanical exclusion principle was formulated by Wolfgang Pauli in 1925. This principle states that no two electrons in an atom can have the same set of quantum numbers, preventing identical particles from occupying the same quantum state simultaneously.

Nuclear decay is a quantum mechanical process, mediated by the weak and strong nuclear forces. All quantum mechanical processes are probabilistic, not deterministic.

The quantum mechanical model of the atom was developed by Erwin Schrödinger in 1926. His work built upon the earlier discoveries of other scientists, such as Max Planck and Albert Einstein, in the field of quantum mechanics.
The correct quantum numbers for the 7th electron of chlorine (Cl) are n=3 (principal quantum number), l=0 (azimuthal quantum number), m_l=0 (magnetic quantum number), and m_s=+1/2 (spin quantum number).
A quantum computer uses quantum-mechanical phenomena to manipulate data. Still in its infancy, quantum computing is the subject of much research activity funded by both military and civilian organizations.
