Soda Ash is not hazardous, but it is not very good for the environment too. Soda Ash is no highly alkaline that its waste is also quite bad for the eco system. In fact fromthe last 15 years, Soda Ash factories have not been built in the developed world because of this.

Recently though, TATA Chem and TERI together innovated to build a solid green ecosystem with insects, plants, reptiles and animals too on a soda ash waste site. This has been amazing news for the rest of the world, in fact, its going to be exported all across the globe now.

Soda ash, also known as sodium carbonate, is considered a mild irritant to the skin, eyes, and respiratory system. It can also be harmful if ingested in large quantities. Proper precautions should be taken when handling soda ash, such as using gloves and goggles.
