It doesnt matter you will smoke it. The current in a resistive circuit is proportional to the voltage. If the voltage doubles and the resistance is the same (elements) the current will double and burn up both the elements and the toaster wiring. Look up "ohms law" for current voltage and resistance effects. Don't try it..

What is s.s.o.13amp?

"S.S.O." likely stands for "Single Socket Outlet." "13A" indicates that the outlet is rated for a maximum current of 13 amps.

Can you use a 15 amp 115 volt device in standard outlet?

Yes, you can use a 15 amp 115 volt device in a standard outlet, as most standard outlets in the US are rated for 15 amps at 120 volts. However, it's always important to check that your device's electrical requirements match the outlet's specifications to ensure safe operation.

How many amps and volts are in household current?

Electric current can be either direct or alternating. ... Current density can also be expressed in amperes. Depending where you live will depending on what the voltage is and the carried amps. In the U.S., a conventional 120 V outlet is rated for a maximum current of 15 A, and the upstream wiring and circuit breaker should be designed to tolerate that. In the UK: The maximum current that can be drawn from a single UK socket is 13 amps (13A) and the maximum that can be drawn from all the sockets on a single ring-main together is 32A.

How much current is drawn when an appliance rated at 795 W is plugged into a 120 V wall outlet?

To find the current drawn, use the formula: Current (I) = Power (P) / Voltage (V). Plugging in the values, I = 795 W / 120 V = 6.625 A. Therefore, the appliance draws approximately 6.625 A of current when plugged into a 120 V outlet.

Can you change the wall outlet to fit a 4 prong dryer outlet?

Yes, you can change a wall outlet to fit a 4-prong dryer outlet. You will need to install a new 4-prong outlet box, wiring, and a 4-prong dryer cord. Make sure to turn off the power before making any changes to the electrical outlet. It's recommended to consult a professional electrician for this task.

Is it a fire hazard when the wall outlet that has an electric heater plugged into it is hot?

Yes and Very Possible! Bad connections cause heat so the outlet may be defectice. The outlet or the supply line may also not be rated to supply the current (amperage) required by the heater.

How do you install a 120 volt 30 amp outlet. This is for a commercial cotton candy machine?

You find a space in your electric panel that will hold a 30 A breaker. You run 10 gauge wire from the electric panel to where you mount the outlet. You buy a 30 A rated outlet with a receptacle that matches the cotton candy machine. Black wire goes to the brass colored screw on the outlet, white wire to silver screw and ground wire to green screw.

How can I safely and effectively use a dryer outlet splitter for an electric vehicle?

To safely and effectively use a dryer outlet splitter for an electric vehicle, ensure that the splitter is rated for the voltage and amperage of your dryer outlet. Follow the manufacturer's instructions for installation and use, and do not overload the circuit by running multiple high-powered devices simultaneously. Regularly check for any signs of overheating or damage to the splitter.

Can you plug a 1600 W electric BBQ into a standard North American outlet?

Yes, but care should be taken to plug the BBQ unit into an outlet on a appliance rated circuit, 20amp min. , usually the ones serving the kitchen counter areas.

How you calculate rated current?

Rated current is typically defined for all electric devices. Either the device has a rated current, wattage or Volt x amperes (VA). Current can be computed by dividing the wattage or VA rating by 120 volts (For resistive loads). In residential situations the maximum current is governed by the protecting breaker on a circuit. If you all up all the rated currents for devices on a circuit they should be less than or equal to 80% of the protecting breaker current rating.

Inside the computer and is the part that changes the electric current into a form that the computer can use?

The power supply changes the 120v ac 60 hz (in the us and canada) to dc 12v, dc 5v, and dc 3.3 v that the computer components can use. The power supply is rated in power supplied as watts of power.
