Kate Gosselin has brown eyes.

Biologically speaking, brown is a dominant color. Jon and Kate must both have brown eyed genes in them. If I remember correctly, a recessive eye color like blue or green has a 1 in 4 chance of occurring in the offspring on average.

It is possible for two parents with blue and green eyes to have children with brown eyes if they both carry the genes for brown eyes, which can be passed on to their offspring. Brown eyes are a dominant trait, meaning that even if both parents have blue and green eyes, they can still carry the gene for brown eyes and pass it on to their children.

I wondered that myself. Another answer says Kate has brown eyes but that is not true. She has green eyes and Jon appears to have green/hazel eyes. Someone suggested that maybe he wears colored contacts. Light eyes are recessive so the kids should have light eyes or most of them.

Can Blue eyes plus green eyes make dk brown eyed children?

Yes, it is possible for blue-eyed and green-eyed parents to have dark brown-eyed children if both parents carry the genetic trait for brown eyes. Eye color inheritance is complex, as it is determined by multiple genes that can interact in various ways.

Can a brown eyed mom and a green eyed dad get a green eyed baby?

Yes, the mother with brown eyes has a second eye color potential. In biology it is called a recessive trait. She can bare children with different eye colors. By my professors account, his friends had seven children with blue eyes, and both parents had brown eyes. They say the brown eyes are the dominant trait, but it is obviously not a fact or it is not always the case. The mother in your case probably has a parent with blue or green eyes I would suspect.

What causes green eyes to produce brown eyes in daughters?

The inheritance of eye color is determined by genes from both parents. If a person with green eyes carries genes for brown eyes, they can pass these on to their children. When both parents carry the gene for brown eyes, there is a chance that their child will have brown eyes, even if one parent has green eyes.

If one parent has gold hair and sea green eyes and the other dark brown hair with brown eyes what the baby's hair and eye color be?

The baby could have a mix of gold hair and dark brown hair, and a mix of sea green eyes and brown eyes. The outcome would depend on the specific genetic combinations inherited from each parent.
