Between December and March, there is sun nearly every day without fail as that is the dry season. Temperatures are hot. In April, around Semana Santa, holy week, it begins to rain quite a bit more and the general trend is for there to be sun in the morning until about noon, and afterwards for there to be clouds or rain for the rest of the day. It isn't cold, per se, but you'd want to wear jackets while going out at night, and of course, if you get rained on, you get chilly. Don't worry, though, there are lots of big, brightly-colored umbrellas. Try and wear brightly colored clothes, too, because they really do cheer up a cloudy day.

The San Diego area has many different micro-climates which vary from shoreline to inland valleys, mountains and deserts. But, on average, San Diego enjoys about 266 days of sunshine each year! The other 99 days consist of mostly marine layer clouds and low fog along a coastal zone 2-4 miles inland. For more information, please visit: www.san-diego-attractions.net
