As one who was inside the Dome we too believed all the rumors of rapes and murders but in fact most if not all of these turned out to be false, as well as any shooting at helicopters outside of the Dome. Fear and Group Think are powerful tools in spreading misinformation and the media was way off base on their reporting of what went on inside. Still seeing it for myself I was amazed that more medical patients didn't die due to lack of food, water, sanitary conditions and more staffing by the National Guard.
