there are 4 nerves coming into the hand:

Posterior antebrachial cutaneous: senses the skin of dorsum of wrist

radial: senses the skin of dorsum of thumb and 2 1/2 digits

ulnar: ulnar 11/2 digets and adjacent part of dorsum of hand, sensory to skin of ulnar motor to muscles of hypothenar eminence motor to ulnar to lumbricles motor to 7 interossei and motor to adductor pollicis muscles

median: sensor of the palm
