This is not quite as easy to answer as you might think.
Gold is measured in troy ounces which is different from avoirdupois ounces which is used to measure things like potatoes or sugar.
Also the troy pound is the equivalent of 12 troy ounces, whereas the avoirdupois pound is the equivalent of 16 avoirdupois ounces.
One troy ounce is approximately 31.1 grams; one troy pound is 373.24 grams. One avoirdupois ounce is approximately 28.35 grams; one avoirdupois pound is 453.6 grams.
