coke basically sucks out the remaining water so most likely you will not get good results with growing marigolds with coke. Trust me, I did this for a science project, only a tiny little bit of the plant showed, and I planted three seeds in a soil pellet.

Regular coke can negatively affect plant growth in marigolds due to its high sugar content, acidity, and caffeine. These components can disrupt the balance of nutrients in the soil and may hinder the plant's ability to absorb essential nutrients for healthy growth. It is recommended to avoid using regular coke or any sugary beverages on plants.
