To get 24v from two 12v batteries you just link between ones positive and the others negative then connect your motor to the spare terminals, but your 12v charging system will not charge them (and any 12v equipment connected to them will burn out!) without removing the link.

To wire two 12 volt marine batteries together to run a 24 volt trolling motor, you should connect the positive terminal of one battery to the negative terminal of the other battery using heavy-duty jumper cables or battery interconnect cables. Then, connect the positive terminal of the trolling motor to the positive terminal of one battery and the negative terminal of the trolling motor to the negative terminal of the other battery. This setup will create a 24 volt system for your trolling motor.

What size battery do you use for trolling motor?

The size of the battery needed for a trolling motor depends on the voltage requirement of the motor. Common sizes for trolling motor batteries are 12V, 24V, and 36V. It's important to consult the manufacturer's specifications for the motor to determine the appropriate battery size.

Can you run your 24 volt trolling motor on 12 volts?

step up trasnsformer <<>> As suggested above transformers do not work on DC installations. You will need to use two 12 VDC batteries in series with each other to obtain the 24 VDC needed to operate the motor. Connect a jumper between the two batteries with a wire the same size as the wire coming from the motor. The jumper will go from the negative of one battery to the positive of the second battery. The two remaining posts will connect to the motor and have a potential of 24 VDC.

What size wire for trolling motor?

The size of wire needed for a trolling motor depends on the motor's maximum amperage draw and the length of the wire run. A general guideline for a 12V trolling motor is 6-gauge wire for runs up to 10 feet, 4-gauge wire for runs up to 20 feet, and 2-gauge wire for runs over 20 feet to minimize voltage drop and ensure proper performance. Be sure to consult the manufacturer's recommendations for your specific trolling motor.

Can you run a 220 volt 1 horse motor with batteries?

Yes, you can run a 220 volt 1 horsepower motor with batteries by using an inverter to convert the DC power from the batteries into AC power that the motor can use. However, the size and number of batteries needed will depend on the motor's power requirements and the duration for which you want to run it.

How many amps does a 12 volt boat trolling motor use per hour?

The amperage drawn by a trolling motor will depend on the specific model and its power rating. To calculate the amperage per hour, you would need to know the wattage of the motor. You can use the formula: Amps = Watts / Volts.

Will two 12 volt batteries wired parallell last longer than one 12 volt on a trolling motor?

Possibly but you will have twice the amperage for sure. So the 2 batteries will run the trolling motor far longer. My guess is yes, they will last longer than just one battery. That is an educated guess.

Where can one purchase a MotorGuide Trolling Motor?

There are several places where you can buy a Motorguide Trolling Motor. You can visit the Motorguide website, or you can purchase a Trolling Motor direct from specialist boat companies in your location.

How to hook a 24 volt trolling motor to 2 12 volt batteries?

You would need to connect the two 12 volt batteries in series. That will give you 24 volts and the amps of one of the batteries. Voltage doubles and amps stay the same.

yes

Do you need boat license with trolling motor?

It really depends on the state that you are in. There are different rules and regulations. In Kentucky, where I live, you have to license "anything" with a trolling motor no matter what (inflatable boat, canoe, etc.) It seems kind of silly though!

Do you need to register a boat if it has a trolling motor in vermont?

typically if the vessel is over 12 feet long, you need to register. even though there is no gas motor.

Trolling Motors?

If you bass fish or have seen a bass boat, you have probably noticed the small propeller on a pole in the front of the boat. This is the trolling motor.Trolling motors - Not just for trollingTrolling is the art of covering a large amount of water in a short time. Basically, the boat moves across the water, dragging angler's lures through the water. Various lures at various depths can be used but the principle is the same, fish as much area as possible.A trolling motor is an ancillary motor to the large one that fully propels the boat. Normally at the front of the boat, the trolling motor is used for slow presentations. Crappie fishermen use trolling motors in this way. Since they use multiple rods with lures at several depths, a trolling motor allows them to fish slowly and methodically. The trolling motor for bass anglersBass anglers and in particular tournament anglers, make heavy use of the trolling motor. The trolling motor is not used to troll, but rather to move the boat from location to location slowly and silently. Bass anglers fishing tournaments must cover large amounts of water to be successful The trolling motor allows them to do that. Since the trolling motor is electric, it does not make noise that will spook fish, another key element for the tournament angler.Going where angels fear to tread - Getting back thereThe large outboard on the back of the boat is great for navigating wide, deep, open bodies of water, but what about that honey hole in the very back of the lake? You know the one that is choked up with vegetation, stumps and shallow water? Getting there with the outboard is impossible if not dangerous, but the tournament purse may lie on your ability to get to that area. Good thing you have a trolling motor. The trolling motor will get you into tight spots that the large motor cannot. Shallow water, stumps or vegetation can be trouble for the big outboard motor, but the trolling motor can work right through it. If the trolling motor does get choked on weeds, cleaning it is a snap since you only have to lift it out of the water.

How do you make small working modal of helicopter?

You need a light but powerful dc motor, a propeller, and a few button batteries (or other kinds like AA or 9v, but those are usually heavier than what you need in button batteries). Rig them together so the button batteries are lined up parallel to each other and attach them and the prop to the motor.
