Get some zeolite and package it in sachetes or baby food jars with holes in the lid, or round ceramic sachette holders. Whatever you package it in should let air in so the ethylene gas comes into contact with the zeolite. You can find zeolite in a lot of products that control odor. I found the most inexpensive product is the Gonzo Odor Eliminator bag. It's a net bag that contains zeolite. It has one pound of zeolite. It's sold online and at Walmart and Home Depot. If you need a lot more than a pound, you can probably find an industrial supplier online. I just use mine for keeping fruit and veggies fresh. Also, exposure to sunlight renews the zeolites ability to absorb ethylene gas. I don't know if this zeolite is OK to actually touch the produce. That's why I put it in something that lets the air in while keeping a barrier from the produce.

To build an ethylene gas absorber, you can use materials like activated carbon or potassium permanganate, which can absorb ethylene gas effectively. Place the chosen material in a container with small openings to allow air circulation while trapping the gas. Regularly replace or recharge the absorbing material to maintain its effectiveness over time.

What is ethylene scrubber?

An ethylene scrubber is a device used to remove ethylene gas from the air. Ethylene gas is given off by fruits, flowers, and plants as they ripen, and can cause premature ripening in nearby produce. The scrubber helps to prolong the freshness of fruits and vegetables by reducing ethylene levels in storage areas.

What effect does ethylene gas have on produce?

Ethylene gas can accelerate the ripening process of produce by triggering various physiological changes, such as softening, color changes, and flavor development. However, excessive exposure to ethylene can also lead to over-ripening, spoilage, and reduced shelf life of the produce.

Does ethylene gas help speed up the growth of plants?

Yes, ethylene gas can promote the growth and ripening of plants by stimulating fruit formation, flowering, and seed germination. However, high levels of ethylene can also lead to premature ripening and senescence in plants. It is important to regulate ethylene exposure to optimize plant growth.

When green fruits are wrapped in a newspaper they ripen faster than when left unwrapped plan and design a experiment to prove this?

It's a plant hormone called ethylene gas. Ethylene gas causes fruit to ripen. The more ethylene gas in an area, the faster the fruit ripens
