Galileo believed that the Earth revolved around the Sun, contrary to the popular belief at the time that the Earth was at the center of the universe. He supported the heliocentric model proposed by Copernicus, which was a major advancement in our understanding of the solar system. Galileo's observations through his telescope provided evidence to support this model.
He thought that the Earth and all other planets revolved around the sun. (We now know this is correct) The catholic church and others believed that all other planets revolved around the earth. Since he challenged this idea against the catholic church he was sentenced to house arrest for the rest of his life.
The sun has rings (I think)
I don't think our Solar System has such a box.
Galileo Galilei proposed a heliocentric model of the solar system, where the sun is at the center and the planets orbit around it. This contradicted the prevailing geocentric model, in which Earth was believed to be at the center of the universe. Galileo's observations with the telescope provided evidence to support the heliocentric theory.
Galileo's discovery of the moons of Jupiter provided strong evidence for the heliocentric (Sun-centered) model of the solar system proposed by Copernicus. This challenged the prevailing geocentric (Earth-centered) model and helped to revolutionize our understanding of the cosmos. Galileo's observations sparked a new era of astronomical inquiry and set the stage for the scientific revolution.
Galileo,thought wery badly.
Galileo Galilei made an educated guess (and was later on proven to be correct) that the Sun is in the middle of our Solar System.
The sun has rings (I think)
As proposed by the Heliocentric Theory, the Sun is the center of the Solar System.
The Copernican Theory said that the Sun was the centre of the solar system, not the Earth. The only error he made was that the orbits were perfectly circular. Keplar corrected this by showing the orbits were ellipses.
Ask not what Ptolemy thinks of his solar system, but what his solar system thinks of Ptolemy.
Think about it, the solar system isn't that big. But I think there are microbes and bacteriums on one of the planets.
I don't think our Solar System has such a box.
People thought the earth was in the center of the solar system

Ya think?
The Solar System is believed to be around 4.6 billion years old.
Galileo's discovery of the moons of Jupiter provided strong evidence for the heliocentric (Sun-centered) model of the solar system proposed by Copernicus. This challenged the prevailing geocentric (Earth-centered) model and helped to revolutionize our understanding of the cosmos.
