I can't tell you scientifically, but I've taken ampicillin, which has the same, a little bit milder side effects than amoxicillin. and I've also taken cefixime, and cefixime had NO side effects on me whatsoever. and it worked well. ampicillin made me feel mentally confused and tired and darn nauseous.
so if you're wondering what to take - i wouldn't give it a thought - would take cefixime over amoxicillin any day, because after all they both work on the same (wide) range of bacteria!
Cefixime is better than amoxicillin in certain cases because it is effective against a broader range of bacteria, including some that may be resistant to amoxicillin. Additionally, cefixime has a longer half-life, which means it can be taken less frequently. However, cefixime may be more expensive and can have a higher risk of side effects compared to amoxicillin.
Amoxicillin and amoxicillin trihydrate are the same compound. The difference lies in their formulation β amoxicillin is the active pharmaceutical ingredient (API), while amoxicillin trihydrate is the crystalline form of amoxicillin combined with three molecules of water.
The molar mass of amoxicillin (C16H19N3O5S) is approximately 365.4 g/mol.
To dissolve 500mg of Amoxicillin, you typically need to use around 5-10 mL of water. Make sure to follow your healthcare provider's instructions or the manufacturer's guidelines provided on the medication label for accurate dosing and administration.
It is important to follow the prescription and instructions provided by your healthcare provider or pharmacist when taking amoxicillin. Generally, amoxicillin should be taken with a full glass of water to help with absorption and to avoid stomach upset. There is no specific quantity of water that needs to be added to amoxicillin itself.
it has better wire than a rubber tube
Cefixime and Clav- Has practically no rational. Primary because Cefixime is relatively stable against B-lactamase. Hence adding Clav to this combination is a worthless addition.
Cefixime
You do not have syrup of chloramphenicol, of ofloxacin, of cefixime, of amoxicillin, of cotrimoxazole. They all are in suspension form.
I asked my dentist this very question and was prescribed keflex which cephalexin. i have no idea if it truly is the better treatment but it did work and he is a DMD which is more than either of us..
Cefixime is the most accepted in oral group of cephalosporin.
You can use them. Cefixime for ten days and azithromycin for seven days.
better and quicker absorbedIt
The ratio of cefixime to clavulanic acid in a combination medication is typically 10:1. This means that for every 10 parts of cefixime, there is 1 part of clavulanic acid present in the formulation.

Not gonna work. Just see your health care provider and get the actual treatment. Your department of health may also offer free treatment.
Cefixime is in a group of drugs called antibiotics. It works by fighting bacteria in your body. Clavulanic acid is a combination antibiotic. Amoxicillin/clavulanic acid used to treat many infections caused by susceptible bacteria, such as urinary tract infections, respiratory tract infections, skin infections, and infections such as dental infections, infected animal bites, and infected human bites. Either medicines would be useful to a ENT doctor.
Cefixime is considered a first line treatment, along with azithromycin, for epididymytis and orchitis, two typically bacterial conditions found in the scrotum. Since these two conditions travel around the male urogenital system cefixime stands a good chance of helping cure your prostatitis, assuming it is caused by bacteria. One problem with all antibiotics when it comes to the prostate is that it is an organ normally without much blood circulation, meaning that antibiotics don't saturate the area sufficiently to kill them. Doxycycline and Septra-DS are known as drugs which saturate the prostate better than most
