Most people set the fan to blow air down regardless of the season. The theory of a ceiling fan is to draw heavier cold air from the ground and circulate up towards the six foot level.

In the heat season you are supposed to change the direction of the fan so it now blows down to remove the lighter warm air from the ceiling and push it down to the 6 - 4 foot level. My vents are up high, I want the conditioned air at my level sooner than later.

So, if you're like me, you blow the air down all year round, then sure, why not. The air coming from vent my spin the fan a little should the fan be in the off position. No harm there.

It is generally not recommended to install a ceiling fan directly over an AC vent as it can disrupt the airflow of the air conditioning system and impact its efficiency. It is best to keep a clear space around AC vents for proper air circulation and cooling.

How do you change a 3 wire cealing fan circuit to a 2 wire light circuit?

To change a 3-wire ceiling fan circuit to a 2-wire light circuit, you can bypass the fan function by connecting the fan's wires directly to the ceiling wires for the light. This will allow you to operate only the light with the switch. Make sure to disconnect the fan motor to ensure it does not turn on accidentally.

How do you rewire a wall switch to control both ceiling fan and light. The switch currently furns the fan on and off but the light has to be controlled with a pull chain?

To control both the ceiling fan and light from the wall switch, you will need to replace the existing single switch with a double switch. One switch will control the fan, while the other switch will control the light. You will need to ensure that the wiring in the wall box is set up to accommodate the two separate circuits for the fan and light. It's recommended to consult a licensed electrician for this type of rewiring to ensure it's done correctly and safely.

How do you wire a ceiling fan?

To wire a ceiling fan, you'll typically have a black wire for the fan motor, a blue wire for the light kit, a white wire for neutral, and a green wire for ground. Is a ceiling fan real property or personal property?

If the ceiling fan is attached to real property (installed), then it is real property. If it is in the trunk of your car, it's personal property. If it was installed when a prospective buyer inspected your home and you subsequently took it down and put it in the trunk of your car, you will need a lawyer.

Can you put a fan in front of a vent to pull the air out more?

The fan has to be in side the vent to pull the air out more. If you put it outside of the vent most likely it will just pull the air from surround and will not be efficient in pulling the air out. I've used some computer fan and with little creativity, you can construct an extension duct using plywood or even already made aluminum duct from home depot or lowes with dremmel cut the fan hole to fit the fans. Remember PC fan uses 12V and there are various shape and size. My next project is to add some temperature sensor to automatically kick in the fan. Again PC CPU temperature sensor should do the trick.

How to connect electricity wire to three wired out ceiling fan?

Some ceiling fans have a black, white and sometimes blue wire. The blue wire in this case is so you can switch a light separate from fan. If your fan doesn't have a light just put a wirenut on extra wire and ignore it. If you do have a light and want it switched you'll need an extra wire run to fan, and switch that wire for light.
