  1. Oxygen production: Plants release oxygen through photosynthesis, which is vital for both human and animal respiration.
  2. Food source: Plants provide essential nutrients and energy for both humans and animals through fruits, vegetables, grains, and grasses.
  3. Shelter and habitat: Plants create habitats for animals to live in, offering protection and resources for their survival.
  4. Medicine: Many pharmaceuticals are sourced from plants, providing cures and treatments for various illnesses in humans and animals.

How are animals involved in the life cycles of some flowering plants?

Animals are involved in the life cycles of some flowering plants through the process of pollination. Animals such as bees, butterflies, birds, and bats help transfer pollen between flowers, allowing plants to reproduce. Some plants have coevolved with specific animals to ensure successful pollination, resulting in a mutually beneficial relationship known as mutualism.

Explain that the plants are the ultimate source of food?

Plants are the ultimate source of food because they are able to convert sunlight into energy through photosynthesis. This energy is then transferred to animals that eat the plants, and the animals are in turn consumed by other animals, creating a food chain. In this way, all food ultimately traces back to plants.

What are the 5 steps of carbon dioxide oxygen cycle?

Carbon dioxide is absorbed by plants during photosynthesis, where it is converted into oxygen and glucose. Oxygen is released by plants as a byproduct of photosynthesis and is used by animals during respiration. Animals inhale oxygen and exhale carbon dioxide as a waste product of respiration. Carbon dioxide is absorbed by plants again to continue the cycle. This constant exchange of gases between plants and animals helps maintain the balance of oxygen and carbon dioxide in the atmosphere.
