Crackly radio interference is a phrase that names a type of sound that happens when the "normal" signal coming through a receiver such as a CB radio, a car radio, a police radio or even a TV set is interrupted repeatedly or steadily. This causes a "choppy" signal to be processed by the receiver which then emits a very unpleasant crackling sound. A steady crackling sound is less annoying than a random patterned one. A steady sound of that type is called "white noise". White noise is a category of sound that in the presence of the human ear tends to drown out other sound. Examples of white noise are a running shower, a flushing toilet, a water fall, rain, a fan, a radio set between frequencies, wind blowing. Ever notice when people talk in the wind they yell. The wind creates a type of noise that drowns out your voice.
For radio broadcasting, sound waves are converted to electrical waves that are further transmitted. This transformation is done by a device called a transducer, which converts physical parameters into an electrical form (signals).
It may be the blend door actuator. This part starting making a clicking sound in my 2003 Lincoln Navigator. It is located in the back right panel next to the rear seat. When I removed the actuator and opened it up, I found that one of the gears was partially stripped.
== == Is it only this station that is coming in poorly? If so it may that the station's signal is weak or located in a place that is far away. The other thing to check.........the antenna cable jack at the back of the radio may be loose.

A radio produces sound, and therefore sound energy. The radio waves, however, are electromagnetic energy, not sound. The function of a radio is to convert that electromagnetic energy into sound energy.
Usually when a wheel bearing goes bad, it will begin to make a high pitch noise like a bad humming sound and the sound increases as the speed of the vehicle increases. Take it to a shop and find out if they will check it for you.

quite possibly the A/C compressor clutch. The whining should decrease when the A/C is turned off. You will still hear some of the noise due to the clutch turning while the engine is on.
