The Jennifer Nettles Band was selected the grand prize winner over 2,000 other unsigned bands in "The Big Deal $100,000 Music Search" sponsored by Mars Music. The competition was open to all bands and musicians not currently under contract with a major or independent record label. Of 1,500 bands who entered 300 became selected semifinalists, from there 16 finalists were selected. Final winners were selected by Mars Music Records, Palm and The Box Music Network.

What is death-core?

Ummm... most of those are not deathcore, here are some, Bring Me The Horizon(early music not suicide season)** As Blood Runs Black** Between The Buried And Me* The Final Burden Deathcore is a heavier death metal Verizon but not as loud as death metal is, distorded deathcore isn't deathcore it's grindcore like: Suicide silence* Born Of Osiris(electrogrind)* Whitechapel(my favorite)** Abnormality(playable on rock band 2 and only has a demo so far, 3 songs)* Death metal is like: Cannibal Corpse(most known) Bring Me The Horizon(later, Suicide Season)** and many other pure insanity bands
