Clive was fired for his unreliability. According to the band, Clive was letting his partying affect his performance on stage (which Steve Harris has always maintained is unforgivable). Clive himself, however, denies this, stating that he was fired after bailing out of the tour to attend his father's funeral. It doesn't seem likely that that would be the only reason for his dismissal, but Bruce Dickinson has since commented that he regrets the way in which the band handled Clive.
Clive Burr, the former drummer of Iron Maiden, was married to his wife, Mimi. They were together until he was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis (MS) in the early 1990s, which significantly impacted his life and career. Burr's struggles with MS led to financial difficulties and he later sought support from fans and the music community.
Burr is still alive, although he is suffering from Multiple Sclerosis. He has been confined to a wheelchair for at least the last 8 years.Update: Sadly, Clive has since passed away.
