Neil Diamond was in concert at the Cow Palace in San Francisco. It was in February of 1979. He had previously experienced some numbness in his right leg, but ignored it. But in the midst of that performance in San Francisco, he suddenly fell while on stage, and was unable to stand. He was rushed to the hospital. Doctors found a tumor near his spine, and they removed it. Fortunately, it was benign. He made a full recovery and was able to return to performing.
