If it is a Shure wireless handheld microphone, the serial number is located in the battery compartment. Unscrew and remove the casing that covers the battery, and look on the side of the tab that the battery rests against. There should be a white label with the serial number on it.

I would strongly Suggest, "Shure" you will get the best sound quality out of a Shure microphone. I have worked with Shure for the past 6 years and I am loyal to there work. Hope you find something decent from Shure. Also check out EM microphones very radio professional as well.
