If it is a Shure wireless handheld microphone, the serial number is located in the battery compartment. Unscrew and remove the casing that covers the battery, and look on the side of the tab that the battery rests against. There should be a white label with the serial number on it.

I would strongly Suggest, "Shure" you will get the best sound quality out of a Shure microphone. I have worked with Shure for the past 6 years and I am loyal to there work. Hope you find something decent from Shure. Also check out EM microphones very radio professional as well.

Last user wrote...."he used a shure UNISPHERE"MarkKlingon:To be more specific, he used a Shure U565SD Classic Unisphere Vocal Microphone. The Shure U565SD was the predecessor to the famous Shure SM58, with nearly the same specs. As of today, 04/06/11, Shure still makes the U565SD as a part of their "Classic Collection" of vintage microphones. If it was good enough for Freddie... hey, it's a kinda magic.
elvis used a yamahah vintage steel microphone that can be found at the museum of human history in sydney that is on display for this week only... matt. In 1977 Elvis actually used an Electro-Voice CS-15 or the CS-15P microphone with a grey windscreen. This was the primary mic used from about 1975-1977. From 1970-1973 his mic of choice was the Electro-Voice RE-15 with a grey windscreen.
My guess would a Shure "Green Bullet", but it's just an isnpired guess!
