The radio fuse is located in the passenger side fuse box, located on the side of the dash, right by the glove compartment. There is a finger hole that is there for you to remove it, it takes a bit of backwards pressure. On the fuse lid there is a list of fuses, and if I am not mistaken, on the '04 Pontiac Grand Am, it is labeled as Radio/BATT and is fuse H. It will also tell you where on the fuse panel it is located.

I have the same problem with my 2004 Grand Am. Tried replacing the cigarette socket, but that didn't work. I can't find any shorts. Possibly the alternator or wiring to the fuse box. If I figure it out, I will post the resolution.
There are two fuses for your 2004 Nissan Pathfinder radio. There is an in-line fuse behind the radio. There is a fuse in the fuse box. The fuse box fuse will be in the second column, fifth from the bottom.
There is no fuse for the speakers. There is a fuse for the radio.

Pop you hood. to the left of your battery there is a fuse box. Open the fuse box. On the side closest to the battery, remove the first fuse labeled "20". That is the fuse for the stereo and radio on a 2004 nissan maxima.
Its on the floor board on the passenger side of the car. Just remove the plastic piece and there it is.

To troubleshoot a radio in a 2004 Hyundai Sante Fe the radio fuse in the cabin fuse box should be checked. Replace the fuse the with the proper amp rating. If the radio still does not work check the wire harness behind the radio for only frayed or open lines.
