There is a fuse box under the hood in the engine compartment. It looks like a rectangular shaped black box on the drivers side. There should be a diagram underneath the cover of the fuse box that shows you what each fuse does. It can be confusing. If you are having trouble understanding the diagram (like me) locate 2 fuses that are separated from the others. One is a 7.5 amp and the other is a 25 amp fuse. The 25 amp fuse is for the stereo. That is where it is on my 2006 highlander it could be different on another year. Hope this helps.
