If the radiator is clogged up it will over heat. Make sure it is clean so that air can move through it properly. Also when any vehicle overheats it can die on you. (Most will) but if you let it get to hot you can do serious damage to the engine.
No, the motor oil does not run the transmission on a 2007 Honda Rancher 400. This model uses a separate transmission fluid specifically designed for its automatic transmission system. It's important to use the correct fluid for optimal performance and longevity of the transmission. Always refer to the owner's manual for the appropriate specifications and maintenance guidelines.
To change the transmission fluid on a 2007 Honda Rancher 400 ATV, locate the drain plug on the bottom of the transmission case and remove it to allow the old fluid to drain out. Once drained, replace the drain plug and remove the fill plug located on the side of the transmission. Use a funnel to add the recommended transmission fluid through the fill hole until it reaches the proper level. Finally, replace the fill plug securely.
A 2007 Honda Civic Coupe will hold approximately 3 quarts of transmission fluid. The transmission fluid can be purchased at any auto parts store.

The 2007 Honda 420 Rancher ATV is generally considered reliable, but some owners have reported issues with the transmission, particularly with the automatic clutch and shifting mechanism. Problems can include rough shifting, slipping, or failure to engage. Regular maintenance and checking the transmission fluid can help mitigate some of these issues. If problems persist, it’s advisable to consult a qualified mechanic for a thorough diagnosis.

Same place you check the fluid level. Use only genuine Honda ATF DW1 and nothing else. Do not overfill.
