It is located on the drivers side just under the dash about as far to the door (left) as you can get. It is a pink box about the size of a cigarette pack. I had luck just sliding it toward the front get it out.
If you want to make it stop a continuous chime that is an intermittent problem that you can't diagnose, carefully open the chime up and remove the "E" shaped metal bar. That will significantly reduce the sound.

I believe that you are requesting information for theBODY CONTROL MODULE (BCM). If it is in a similar place as the 1994 Grand Cherokee, it is located on the driver's side near the door, on the underside of the dash panel. On the 1994 it is a reddish purple color plastic box slightly larger than a cigarette pack. The BCM slides out toward the front of the car but you will have to find a catch that holds it into the dash; the catch is located under the BCM and can be accessed by pushing a screwdriver into a hole in the dash.
