Where can you buy Vernor's soda in Billings Montana?

Sadly, Vernors is pretty much only available in Michigan. I live in Chicago and can't find it anywhere, and we're much closer than Montana. Next time you get to Michigan and look at a Vernors bottle, you'll probably see the little gnome with the label, "A Michigan origninal since 1866." I can get it in Michigan City Indiana, about 10 miles outside of Michigan and 30 miles outside of Chicago. That is the farthest from Detroit-area that I've seen it.

Detroit is a unique area. It has hung onto its regional flavor a lot more than other areas. That's not to dis other areas, mind you, but Detroit seems to have certain tastes the other parts of the country doesn't share. Its food and drink are a major part of this. Vernors is a big-time, unique drink in Detroit area, but unheard of elsewhere.

Pizza is way different in Detroit than everywhere else. Two of the biggest chains, , Dominos and Little Ceasars both come from Detoit and they aren't even close to the best. Every little bar and restaurant seems to have good pizza. I've lived all over the country, and even spent time in Italy, and haven't seen anything like it! Buddy's, Cloverleaf, and Louie's are some of the best pizza the Detroit area has and would beat anything in New York or Chicago.

Sanders Hot Fudge is another. Stroh's was a big, local beer, but nationalizaation destroyed it. Greek food is unique in Detroit, just go to Greektown and see! Even Chinese food has a unique Detroit flavor... Almond Boneless Chicken is almost unhear of outside of Detroit. They just has a unique food culture I haven't seen anywhere else. So, sorry, no Vernors, but I've suprised it hasn't caught on elsewhere. They've tried to market it elsewhere, since Dr. Pepper-7up bought it, but maybe its time to give it a try again...
