Some sources say they met at Dartford station in 1960 (having been at primary school together earlier). Jagger was supposedly on his way to the LSE, where he was a student. However, this date cannot be correct, as Jagger did not leave school until 1961 and entered LSE in the autumn of 1961. This suggests their encounter was probably in the spring of 1962.

Update: the BBC website says it was on 17 October 1961, which seems more likely.
