HEY YA ALL YA KINGS OF LEON LOVERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
gotta love kings of leon-great baselines in their songs i reckon...
now this is just MY opinion, so, if anyone DOESN'T agree with me, no sweat. if you want, you can add your own personal comment to the site.
but i think their song "ragoo" is about the singer's hardships in his life that he's lived through:
"My papa's slave had to go and fight the war
He beat 'em all then he took 'em all to court
My papa called and he said you remember me?
Now he's working awful hard in his factory"
as well as all the stuff kids did behind their parents backs, getting into trouble:
"Here's to the kids out there smoking in the streets"
AND-the chorus...of course
"Either way you caught me whilst a lyin'
You caught me whilst a lyin'
You caught me with my pants down"
kids reckon they know it all, but they're missing the truth. the singer reckons they're too young to be doing any of these things and he's too old to be telling them what to do:
"Here's to the kids out there smoking in the streets
They're way too young but I'm way too old to preach
They know it all but they still ain't seein' the truth
Just play my song and I'll show it all to you"
another thing:
"I wanna say here's to me gonna change the world
Now I wanna play till they kicking down the door
I'll be alright long as I ain't seen it all
And I'mma holding tight to that night we had a ball, we had a ball"
i guess that part is pretty much open for interpretation though lol...
"We ain't even been to the ocean
We been running barefoot on the street
We been running barefoot through the street
We ain't even been to the ocean"
I'm not as sure of what this verse meant as i am of what the others meant but, i think it means...that, we don't know everything about the world. and that we're always learning...i don't know...i reckon that this part is open for interpretation as well...
anyway...great song ay?!
hope at least a couple of the things i wrote in my answer helped someome out...
thanks for reading guys xox,
