Over the past couple of years, Trevor McNevan - Thousand Foot Krutch's front man - has received countless letters about suicide, depression, and how his music has impacted the average teenager. He said he wanted to write a song about the experience and struggles of the suffering teenager and says of the song, "Suicide and hopelessness is the topic on "Look Away," an anthem for the broken and anyone feeling like they've been told to sweep their feelings or pain under the rug."
