The ZJ models, manufactured from 1993 to 1998, originally came in three general trims, the Base, Laredo, and the Limited. The Base model offered basic features such as full instruments, cloth interior, a standard five-speed http://www.answers.com/topic/manual-transmission, while soon gaining the moniker SE name in 1994. Creature comforts like power windows and locks were not standard equipment on the SE, although conveniences like these were finally included in 1995; a somewhat contrasting pricetag with minimal production numbers resulted with low consumer demand and dropping the now-uncommon bare-bone model forever. The Laredo was the mid-scale model (essentially becoming base model after 1996), standard features included added body cladding http://www.answers.com/topic/power-window, http://www.answers.com/topic/power-door-locks, and cruise control; exterior features displayed a medium grey http://www.answers.com/topic/plastic lower body paneling and five-spoke http://www.answers.com/topic/aluminium http://www.answers.com/topic/wheel. The Limited was the premium model, with the lower body paneling being the same color as the vehicle color. The Limited also boasted standard features such as http://www.answers.com/topic/leather seating, optional power http://www.answers.com/topic/sunroof, mirrors, http://www.answers.com/topic/power-seat, and http://www.answers.com/topic/remote-keyless-system; heated mirrors, and heated seats, a basic onboard http://www.answers.com/topic/computer-1; and http://www.answers.com/topic/waffle-like cast aluminum wheels.

Cherokee Laredo, no. Grand Cherokee Laredo, yes.
There is no such thing as a 2002 Cherokee Laredo. The last year for the Cherokee was 2001, and the last year it came with the Laredo trim was 1992. I have a 2003 Cherokee Laredo so this awnser makes no sense at all. Do you have a GRAND Cherokee Laredo? Those are still being made. They are not the same as the Cherokee.
yes There was also a Laredo package for the XJ Cherokee in the 1990's.
No, remote start was not a factory option in 2000.
XJ is the body designation of the now discontinued Cherokee. Laredo is a trim and accessory package available on the Grand Cherokee.
Laredo is the base model of Jeeps like the Cherokee after 1996. The limited is the top of the line. Before 96 it was the mid level model
