What size of group are you speaking of? In exceptionally large groups they can be considered an orchestra. A band can range in numbers but exact names could be a quartet as in four,a duet or duo as in two. There are also ensembles as well as many other arrangements. A band is a very simple name but not always correct.
I'm not quite sure what you're requesting. In Ireland and Scotland, a ceilidh (pronounced kaylee) would fit this description. (The word itself is Gaelic in origin.) If you're a gipsy in Europe or the UK, you may use the term 'juerga'. In any Latino country outside of Cuba, you may be attending a pachanga. If you're in the Southern US, you're probably attending a modern hoe-down, though dancing was more accentuated at such a gathering in the past, including the infamous square-dancing, where a DJ or singer will shout instructions to dancers. Southern students in some school districts are even required to take a square-dancing class as part of their physical education. One of the traditions of a Southern Louisiana boucherie is often music-making and sharing of folk songs. In other places around the US, such communal sharing didn't necessarily have a name - it would happen in just about any place, at just about any time. Gatherings around the campfires in the evenings for cowboys would often yield tall-tales and folks songs. Similarly, such sharing would occur around the campfires of those wagon trains on the Oregon Trail - the brave souls who packed their lives into a wagon and headed West in the hopes of making a better fortune. Weddings and birthing parties were often an excellent time to catch up on the news and sing old traditional songs. These gatherings hardly had a specific name, but occured none the less.

An organic music group is a music group without any instruments. They sing together in unison and are naturally talented and do not need backup singers or computer programs to manipulate their sound.
