Korn, also written as KoRn or KoЯn, is an American band from Bakersfeild, California, and is often credited with popularizing the nu metal genre. Along with other bands at the time period, they have also inspired many nu metal and alternative rock groups through the mid 1990s and early 2000s. The band's catalogue consists of nine consecutive debuts in the top ten of the Billboard 200, including their compilation album, Greatest Hits Vol.1, and their latest album, Untitled, released on July 31, 2007. To date, Korn has sold over 30 million albums worldwide, including 16.5 in the U.S., while earning six Grammy nominations-two of which they have won.

Searches on the internet reveal no definitive answer however if you look at Korn's self-titled album cover where a young girl is in a park and a strange man is hovering over her and then look at the back cover and the girl is gone, one might think that KORN stands for "Kiddie Porn." Listen also to the song, "Daddy" on the same album. The song very graphically discussses the sexual abuse of a child. In addition, the inside of the album shows a boy with a label with the words KORN across his mouth and his eye is bruised and badly damaged.

The first person that answered this suggested that it stood for: Kids on Rotten Novacaine.

The band was at a party and there was a gay couple telling a story of how one time he was eating the other's butt out when the other got diarrhea so when he opened his mouth he had a chunk of corn inside. Ew.
