radar radar
Gary Burghoff. plays Radar
In the CBS television series, M*A*S*H (1972-83), Gary Burghoff played the role of "Radar" O'Reilly, the company clerk of MASH unit 4077. He got tired of the character and left the show during a 2-part farewell episode, "Good-Bye, Radar" at the beginning of Season 8. Radar's uncle had died and he was given a hardship discharge so that he could go home to take care of his mother and farm.
It is not a requirement to show RADAR readings in Illinois.
A palindrome for "radio device to locate objects" would be "radar." A palindrome is a word, phrase, or sequence of characters that reads the same forwards and backward. In this case, "radar" is a perfect palindrome as it reads the same way from left to right and right to left.
A jeep
Radar mailed home a Jeep, piece by piece and could be seen throughout the series carrying a miscellaneous piece to a car. When Hawkeye found out about this he commented by saying that "Once Radar's mailman finds out, he's going to have a retroactive hernia."
