As in all electronics heat is the culprit..if a lamp is mounted (let us say at a ceiling in a warehouse the temperature at the ceiling area is always more than the ground level) and this becomes a cause for ballast failures. Voltage spikes and dips are also a reason for ballast failures. The ballast specifications should match with the lamp (undersizing it will also cause failures) eg. using a 32 watt ballst for a 40 watt lamp. Cheers. Chaterpilar
When their is air in the power steering hoses it will create noise. This is bad, as it can result in a dry pump which will eventually lead to pump failure.
A metal halide ballast works just by transforming the line voltage into much more useful voltage to the metal halide, and by regulating the current so that the bulb will have its useful life at the most.
Low coolant, inoperative water pump, head gasket failure, inoperative radiator fan, etc.
There is no such part on a 1999 Jeep Cherokee.
Electronic relays are used in circuitry for computers, communications equipment, and a multitude of other electronic devices.
Electronic ballast does not hum as much as a choke. Minute hum of electronic ballast is the small inductor and capacitor producing an oscillation for high voltage generation,
yes..if we replace magnetic ballast with electronic ballast...there is no need of starter if we use electronic ballast.
For your question, i see the ignitor means the Electronic Ballast. If you want test HID lamp electronic ballast, you can reference Lisun WT2000-HID HID Ballast Tester, this instrument is main for test HID lamp electronic ballast,
The end sockets have to be rewired. The schematic for the rewire is on the ballast label.
Because it wastes less energy in the form of heat.
It sounds like your ballast is malfunctioning. If it is a magnetic ballast it will probably have tar protruding out of it and the ballast will be very hot. Buy a new electronic ballast. Change the wiring to the end sockets like it is shown on the electronic ballast print that can be found on its label. You will need new tubes for the new ballast. Diameter will be T-8.
Electronic ballast is designed to limit the current which goes through an electrical circuit. This keeps the circuit from overheating or suffering other ill effects from having too much current.
A failure in the electronic throttle system.A failure in the electronic throttle system.
When the ballast is to be purchased, look at the schematic that is on the label of the ballast. There it will tell you which ballast is good for which lamps and also let you know what length of tube the ballast is good for. Most of the new electronic ballasts allow for multiple connections of different size lamps.
The T8 tubes are usually associated to fixtures with electronic ballasts whereas T12 tubes are used in magnetic ballasts. The tubes can not be transposed because the socket wiring is different. If you are converting a magnetic ballast to an electronic ballast the wiring diagram is on the label of the ballast.
causes of corporate failure
ballast are either electronic or iron core induction type so at the end of the day it does not matter what type it is so long as it can handle the wattage of the tube you are trying to drive any thing will work so long as you have every thing in place that the new ballast needs, electronic types need nothing to work ballast types need a starter of some kind
