Melody - the main sort of theme or motif I suppose

monophonic - music with one voice, it's texture is composed of only one line of music (like chamber music or traditional latin hymn without harmonies)

moderato - a moderate tempo (120BPM I think, a lot of pop songs have that 2 beats per second speed)

maestro - spanish word for teacher, also referred to a music master I think in one of the European languages

marcato - an articulation that emphasises that particular note, usually comes up when you've got arpeggiated chords and you want one of the notes to stand out more (that's my observation though)

(a lot of Italian terms when I think about it)

menuetto - I forgot the piece by Mozart, but because I know we studied a piece by Mozart I know that it may have been term that originated in the classical era of music. It refers to the genre of the piece.
