if you mean playing an instrument it is very helpful to start at a young age.your teachers help you learn the basics slowly and you might decide to change you instrument down the road.i've played the recorder,Clarinet and Flute.i personaly love the flute compred to the other two.playing an instrument is a lot of fun!!!hope i helped
