They had 2 Champagne jams, one in 1978 and 1979. The one in 1979 had ARS, Mose Jones, Eddie Money, Mothers Finest, Angel, Molly Hatchett, and I think Def Leppard( not sure though), they could have been at the 1978 show. There were some more, but in 1978, 1979 and 1980 (Georgia Jam at road Atlanta), i was going to a lot of concerts AND STUFF!!!!!!!
Some of this info is correct but in 78, the bands were ARS, Santana, Doobie Brothers, Eddie Money, Mose Jones and Mothers Finest. In 79, the bands were ARS, Aerosmith, Cars, Dixie Dregs, and Whiteface. This info is correct
I attended Champagne Jam in Atlanta in 1979. I remember ARS, Bob Seger, Heart, & Cheap Trick being there. I was blown away by Heart -- and had heard a lot about Bob Seger from a friend from Michigan. It was a long day, waiting for each band to tear down their equipment and the next act putting their equipment up. ARS was the final act -- awesome.. A concert I will never forget!
The second paragraph is the correct answer. I attended the first but missed the second.
