Sarah, Duchess of York (née Sarah Margaret Ferguson, born 15 October 1959) is a charity patron, spokesperson, writer, television personality and former member of the British Royal Family. She is the daughter of the late Major Ronald Ferguson and the late Susan Barrantes, and is the former wife of Prince Andrew, Duke of York, the Queen's second son. Her children Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie, are fifth and sixth in line of succession to the British Throne, respectively. She is popularly referred to as "Fergie", as are many famous individuals with the last name Ferguson.
