Eric Clapton struggled with heroin addiction until about 1974. But even after he got clean, he simply switched to alcohol, and it wasn't until around 1987 that he finally put an end to all of his addictive behaviors.

What is the Ray Charles song that Eric Clapton covers on his album Reptile?

Come back baby

Who is better Jimi Hendrix or Eric Clapton?

CLAPTON WOULD TELL YOU HENDRIX That answer is as correct as you will see; good insight. Hendrix probably dug Clapton too. Clapton was in awe over the smooth playing legend, and planned on presenting him with a Stratocaster I think in England. Unfortunately, he never got the chance; that was when Hendrix died. Also, it depends on what you like. If you like someone who plays more eccentrically, watch Hendrix. He had no quams against smashing his guitar or setting it ablaze on stage. Clapton AND Hendrix. Two of the most powerfull and prolific guitarist' ever to take command of a stage. One of Jimi's most memorable solos in ' All along the Watchtower' is a guitar players dream to Clapton's subtle interlude in 'While my guitar gently weeps' will forever be engraved in the minds of guitarist's everywhere for years to come.

Who sang these lyrics from 60s70s song hello how are you its good to see you again my friend any ideas?

I think you are referring to Eric Clapton's song Hello Old Friend. It was on his 4 Disc Box Set Crossroads released in 1988. In 1976 he released a single with the song, it make it to #24 on the charts. It was also on an album in 1976 called No Reason To Cry. I'm sure it appeared on other albums, because in modern music they seem to keep releasing old music and adding a few tracks to it. Also it seems like there are a lot more best of, and boxed sets. See below for some links, one of them is the lyrics. It definatley was not Clapton, not unless he was in the group that sang it. RESPONSE:Did you read anything in the links below? Clapton was in a lot of bands. Educate yourself before you answer a question. RESPONSE: To Mr Educated I know it was not Clapton, If you can come up with the right song great , Ive just played Hello old friend and that is definatley not the one I'm thinking of, please do not assume your perfect.

What are drugs like?

There is no drug quite like heroin. Heroin is an opiate (meaning, it is made from the poppy plant), and there are other opiates, like opium, morphine, oxycodone, and hydrocodone, but they don't quite produce the same level of intense, absolute euphoria that heroin does. There are also other depressants (meaning, drugs that slow down your central nervous system), like benzodiazepines (Xanax and Valium), but they don't even come close to producing the intense, absolute euphoria that heroin does.

To answer your question, no it does not. If you do heroin and get drug tested you will come up positive for opiate use. But it will not block any other drug from being detected.

How long does drugs stay in your fat cells?

Depends on the drug, most drugs, cocain, heroin, etc, are not fat soluble, the drug that most people refer to that stays in fat cells is marijuana, and it can stay from 3 to 60 days, depending on the extent of abuse. Acutally benzo's like xanax and Valium also stay in the fat cells and take much longer to come out of your system than other drugs.

What prescription drugs show up as heroin in drug test?

Heroin actually shows up as morphine in a drug test. ALL opiates, except for morphine which is already morphine, have morphine as their first-stage metabolite. You do heroin, it changes to morphine. Do codeine, it changes to morphine.So...any drug that is an opiate shows up as "opiates." Poppy seeds used to do this, but they've adjusted the cutoff to the point you'd have to eat a pound of poppy seeds to come up hot on a drug test.Heroin will show up as morphine in a drug test. There are some drug tests that are not specific for example all opiates come up the same. The test will not tell the difference between vicodin and heroin, it will come up the same. All heroin is morphine with an added chemicals to magnify its potency.Diacetylmorphine

Does herion effect sex?

Heroin's biggest effect is on libido, people who take it have a reduced interest in sex. About two-thirds of women and 19 out of 20 men who take heroin regularly will find that they have reduced interest in sex. There seem to be two reasons for this.Heroin (and other drugs extracted from opium) cause an increase in the production of a hormone called prolactin. High levels of prolactin cause reduced sexual interest.Heroin seems to interfere with the parts of the brain concerned with sex drive and with orgasm. A large proportion of men who take heroin find it difficult to orgasm (come). If they take a lot of heroin they may find it impossible. Women may also find they can't come. The heroin is acting on the same brain systems which are active when we orgasm and interfering with their workings. The good news is that once you stop taking Heroin, the sex drive returns.

Is heroin harmful to the liver?

Heroin can basically harm every major organ in your body, skin, and other parts that can't be mentioned. -- No, heroin itself, and other opiates are not harmful to the liver, nor to any other organ of the body. Opiates like heroin are some of the most studied drugs we have, and have been shown to be quite harmless at normal dosages, even for chronic use. The harms that some addicts experience come mainly from improper or long-term injection practices, re-use of needles which become dull or barbed, impurities, and variable and unknowable potency. Other harms result from poor nutrition and hygiene, which themselves are the result of the vastly over-inflated prices paid on the black market. Almost all the harm associated with heroin use is a direct or indirect consequence of prohibition, rather than from the drug itself.
