The crowd was so large, that the army had to fly security in helicopters. During the three days of the Woodstock festival, there were no reported incidents of violence among the half-million people in the audience.
No, they were not at the original Woodstock, but they were at the second one, where Mike got tackled because one of the security guys thought he was a fan that had jumped on stage at one point for some reason.
Tickets to Woodstock 1969 cost $18 (about $75 in 2009) in advance and $24 at the gate for all three days. Around 186,000 tickets were sold before the concert. This fell well short of the 500,000 that actually showed up and rather then improve fencing/security Woodstock become a free concert.
Free concertThe late change in venue did not give the festival organizers enough time to prepare. At a meeting three days before the event organizers felt they had two choices. One option was to improve the fencing and security which might have resulted in violence, the other involved putting all their resources into completing the stage which would cause Woodstock Ventures to take a financial hit. The crowd which was arriving in greater numbers and earlier than anticipated made the decision for them. The fence was cut the night before the concert.
The Grateful Dead, were said to require payment in advance of their performance. It is also believed that the Who were paid prior to their performance. With the unexpected size of the crowds, the difficulties in selling tickets at the gates, and the eventual collapse of the security fencing -which resulted in thousands of people getting in for free, there was not enough money to pay all of the musicians at the time of the Festival. Eventually everyone who was owed money for the Festival was paid for their work.

Most likely, but not as any organized effort. Do not confuse Woodstock of Aug 1969 with Altamont December 1969 where the Rolling Stones allegedly hired the Hells Angels to provide security. One person was fatally stabbed after brandishing a fire arm near the stage. A court ruled the death as self defense and only one Hells Angel was even indicted.

I'm no Security engineer, but I do know a bit about computer security. If there is no internet connection, the only way for your computer to be attacked is through pre-installed/downloaded software or code or by someone physically downloading something after the internet is disconnected.
As the most common OS on the planet , windows is also the most attacked, also in order to be as compatible with third party software as possible it has the most security issues.
