Not even close. Brand new, they are $180 Guitars. So you are looking at half that used. The overseas Fender stuff does not retain value like American or vintage.

I disagree with the previous answer. As a player and collector I have to say that the

value of these guitars is raising quickly, especially the solid rosewood and solid spruce models as there were not many produced (harder to find as time goes by). These guitars were made by Fender in Japan. They were built to last and are in my opinion as good as any other big name-brand

rosewood guitar. I have one from the late 70's F-75's. This almost 40 year old guitar is still structurally sound, it is well aged and plays phenomenal even when compared to more expensive guitars. The value of the F-75 model from the 70's should be valued at around $800 to $1100+ depending on condition. Here is 5 points as to why: 1. Hand built 2. Solid Rosewood is still one of the best materials to build guitars with. 3. Well aged, the wood is stabilized and if it hasn't cracked by now it probably never will. 4. Looks as good as any other $2000-$5000 guitar. 5. You can see some Country Western Legends still playing them on stage as they sound amazing and look as good as the high dollar competition models.

These models are becoming highly collectible.

If it was made in Japan, and is in truly excellent condition, it should bring $350 fairly easily - some people seek them out.
