Bob Dylan has written over 600 songs throughout his career. He is known for his prolific songwriting abilities and has been a prominent figure in the music industry for decades. Dylan's songwriting spans various genres, including folk, rock, and blues, making him one of the most influential and respected songwriters of all time.
I checked Dylan's website, and copy and pasted the list of his songs in an Excel spreadsheet, sorted them, etc.
It listed 458 songs.

A quick note on the above: This would actually given 458 for the number of songs Dylan has "released" (I won't say "recorded" because more of his recordings seem to turn up all the time). Not all of them were actually written by Dylan. The entirety of his first album, for example, consisted of traditional folk songs that he learned from others.
Of course, even this becomes complicated by the fact that he has heavily altered some of these traditional songs in his various performances. There is a live performance of 'Baby Let Me Follow You Down' from 1966 that is expanded greatly from the album version, to the point where you'd be hard pressed to call them the same song.
Also, it should be remembered that not all of the songs Dylan wrote were performed by him as "Bob Dylan". His contributions to The Travelling Wilbury's, for example.
Dylan actually wrote 2 of the songs on his first album. "Talkin' New York" and "Song to Woody"
